Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems
This robot vacuum-mop makes a great option for apartment dwellers as it has a smaller docking system and carries its own rubbish bin. Its app lets you set up different modes and monitor cleaning. The mopping function is also impressive.
Its mapping, obstacle avoidance, and the mops are stunning. It picks up pet hair, spillages, and dirt. It also self-empties, cleans itself and re-fills its tank.
iRobot Roomba Combination
The iRobot Combo adds mopping to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. It's not quite able to compete with our current Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which scrubs more and has an app for mobile that is simpler to use however it makes an excellent alternative. In our tests, it consistently picked up dirt of different sizes and types from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't among the most advanced in the world, and isn't equipped with structured light and other technology like LiDAR, yet it managed to prevent most collisions with furniture and other clutter.
The Combo has the same features as the j7 Plus with the addition of the latest onboard acoustic sensors that identify the type of floor and AI-powered navigation, however it does not have the ability to adjust suction power manually. It's also a little smaller than its vacuum-only counterpart and doesn't come with an auto-empty dock.
The Combo is one of my favorites for most homes. Its elegant design is also one of the most attractive I've seen in the industry. The matte black finish is more sophisticated than the glossy or metallic finishes of most competitors. iRobot also adds some elegant touches, like the leather tab that opens the bin that is onboard and a shelf that can hold bags in the dock. The iRobot Combo also allows you to easily create maps of your home, and to set up Keep-Out Zones and No-Mop Zones and Clean Zones.
Roborock
Roborock, a relatively new player in the robot mop and vacuum industry, has already established itself with an array of cutting-edge cleaning technologies. The vacuums are renowned for their suction power, and mopping systems from the company feature vibrating mops that scrub floors to remove dirt. Plus, a wide range of scheduling and mapping options lets you adjust the bot's cleaning schedule for your home's specific needs.
Roborock's obstacle avoidance function allows the robot to see objects that are lower than its own height. This is especially useful for Roborock's most popular models, like the Qrevo Master. It is the best in its class in terms of navigation, due to the combination of vSLAM, and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been reported to run over pet faeces and slam furniture without noticing. The Qrevo Master, however, solves this issue by utilizing the Reactive Artificial Intelligence system which makes use of dual cameras to perceive the objects within the room.
Roborock robots have a variety of convenience features to reduce maintenance. These include docks that can be auto-emptied and mop-washing stations with many functions. These remove the need to manually empty dustbins and wash mops, resulting in a truly hands-off ownership experience. Additionally, the app's simple design and seamless connection to the robot makes it simple to use.
Hobot Legee D8

The Legee is an Gen 4 robot that competes directly with the Eufy Robovac X9 and Ecovacs Deebot T20, both of which cost more. It is more feature-rich than either with the more flexible D-shaped body that can clean the corners and under cabinets better than a round one. Its sensors include 360deg 3D (Lidar, Encoder, Gyro, and E-compass) four forward-facing and one right-side-facing FDS (IR ToF sensors for distance) and two cliff detectors in the front and back (most robots have just one pair). It can also detect the distinction between hard floors and carpets so that you don't get water puddles on your precious pile.
Its navigation is top-notch, avoiding carpets and furniture with ease and even lifting itself over steps. The robot is programmable with a variety of settings, including cleaning schedules and rooms it will be cleaning. It also has a handy emergency button that can oblige the robot to return to base when it is running out of power and it can also be set to automatically turn itself off when the weather is forecast to be stormy.
The RCV 5 is very easy to use and, despite being heavy at almost 4kg, you won't have any trouble maneuvering it around furniture. Safety features like sensors that warn it to avoid stairs will be appreciated by parents with small children. Once charged it takes only some hours to charge and the two buttons on the top will blink green to signal that it is ready to go.
Mova E30 Ultra

Beko RCV3
The Beko Robotic Vacuum/Mop RCV3 is a sleek, feature-packed vacuum and mop. It does a great job of keeping floors tidy and clean. It's not able to lift its mops to clean carpets and rug as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV ultra, but it is very good at cleaning hard floors. It comes with a self-emptying bin, a high level of suction, a variety of mopping options, and a top-quality app that works both on iOS and Android.
It's smaller than most of the competition, and its main brush is smaller than the majority, but it managed to make short work of our test area with ease. The edge brush that rotates on the side is a nice addition. Although it wasn't able to remove dirt as effectively as other competitors, it still did a great job.
Individual cleaning parameters can be set up for each room and the robot will create detailed maps of the rooms using built-in LiDAR navigation. It's easy to control using the app, and a range of voice output options will inform you about the state of your home robot. Regular software updates improve and enhance the performance. The application can also be used to remotely manage the RCV3 when you're not at home.
